MYTHTOURISM: Anthropological Tourism in Pitusiray Mountain.

 

A walk of 3 days and 2 nights in which the author of the books “Tambotoco” and “La Boveda del
Inka”, Walid Barham Ode, chronicle in hand, throughout the tour will explain and narrate the Myths
that revolve around the sacred geography of the Pitusiray Mountain.

 

We will make an in situ interpretation of the meaning of the Shadows projected by the giant
Wanakauri rock on Pitusiray Mountain and based on ethnohistoric and scientific data, it will base your
theory about the Paqareq Tampu, place of Inkas’origin.

Day 1 CUSCO - CALCA - Q'AN Q'AN LAKE

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH

07:00 Meeting in the city of Cusco (3399 m.a.s.l.).

07:30 Transfer from Cusco to Calca (2926 m.a.s.l.).

09:00 Arrival at Roca Gigante area, place of transshipment of cargo in horses (3650 m.a.s.l.),

10:00 Start of hiking up towards Q’an Q’an Lake.

12:30 Arrival at Q’an Q’an Lake campsite (4200 m.a.s.l.).

13:30 Lunch / Rest.

15:30 Walk around the Q’an Q’an Lake, clockwise.

Dinner / Overnight in Camp

Day 2Q'AN Q'AN LAKE - WAKA WANAKAURI

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH

04:30 Wake-up tea.

05:15 We ascent to Llanthu Qawarina Mocco (The shadows viewpoint hill).

05:45 We get to the viewpoint and beginn the observation of the shadows.

07:30 Ethnohistoric speech “Sacred Geography” (W.B.O.).

08:00 Descent through the Archaeological site towards the Q’an Q’an Lake.

08:30 Breakfast.

09:30 We ascent to the “second level” of the Pitusiray Mountain, where the Waka Wanakauri is (4500 m.a.s.l.).

11:00 We get to “Guaman point”, the exact place from which the Chronicler Guaman Poma de Ayala made the main of the three drawings in which he camouflaged the true location of the Paqarina of the Inkas, their Place of Origin.

12:30 On the stones that hide the windows of Tambotoco: Anthropological speech: “Secret Paqarina” (W.B.O.). Theatrical monologue with live music:

“Inka Wayna Qhapaq speech ” announcing the Qhapaq T’oqo window closing (W.B.O.).

13:30 BoxLunch.

14:30 We get to descent through the Waqhra Qocha Lake, bordering the heights of the Q’an Q’an Lake.

17:00 Arrival to Q’an Q’an Camp.

Dinner / Central Fire with Live Music / Overnight in Camp.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 01ST

04:30 Wake-up tea.

05:15 We get to ascent to Llanthu Qawarina Mocco (The shadows viewpoint hill).

05:45 We get to the viewpoint and beginn of observation of the shadows.

07:30 Descent to Camp Q’an Q’an.

08:00 Breakfast.

10:00 We leave our came site and the descent to the Roca Grande, where our private transportation is waiting to drive us to Urqo community to visit the Archaeological Site of the cult of water.

12:45 Thanks and Farewell.

13:30 Transfer Urqo – Cusco.

15:00 Estimated time of arrival at the hotel in Cusco.
